Can foreigners adopt children in Ukraine?

YES
Yes. But only within Ukraine, according to Ukrainian legislation, except for children who are already abroad.

Are there age restrictions for parents to adopt?

Adoptive parents must be at least 21 years old.
Parents must be 15 years older than the child.
There are no other age restrictions such as maximum age.

Are there any age restrictions for children to be adopted?

Yes.
Children can be adopted by foreigners only from the age of 5.
There are some exceptions, for example if siblings are adopted and the child is under 5 years old, the child can also be adopted if they are under 5 years old.

Do adoptive parents have to be married?

Yes. Only married couples consisting of a man and a woman can adopt.
Other combinations are not possible.

Are adoptions of Ukrainians recognized in Germany?

Usually yes. There must be legal grounds for non-recognition.
This is unlikely and practically does not occur, since the adoption process in Ukraine is largely the same as in Germany.

Is adoption denied in Ukraine?

If the conditions for adoption are met, then no. Accompanying the adoption process through us, there are practically no rejections.
Almost all clients receive adopted children. In the case of non-compliant clients, we refuse to fulfill the mandate if the requirements cannot be met.

How long does adoption take in Ukraine?

About 1.5 years.

Can foreigners adopt only sick children?

No. Healthy children can also be adopted.

Can multiple siblings also be adopted?

Yes

Is adoption legal in Ukraine and Germany?

Yes. Fully complies with legislation in all participating countries.

Can children take their parents‘ surname after adoption?

Yes. Names and surnames can be changed at the request of parents.
